spinners . crank baits and Maki plastic . no need for bait . actually it depends on the type of trout . rainbows love salmon eggs . brookies worms ,and browns are the minnoe type . .

There are just so many different baits that will catch trout it is hard to name just one. Meal worms...maggots..corn..salmon eggs..wax worms..spinners..lures..power bait...minnows..etc.

It also depends allot on the type of water you are fishing. The one that I would say is best is the one that is working that day.

If I had to choose one bait to fish the streams & lakes during Trout season i'd go with meal worms. They work well in any and all conditions. If I had choices?

Streams: 1/8 oz Rooster Tails with a siver blade, salted minnies, meal worms, crawlers.

Lake: Live minnies, meal worms, crawlers.
