finally after 2 years i got a deer! took a scruffy 6 point in ny at about 5pm on saturday. only had about a 9 inch spread so i didnt do the contest stuff. if you guys dont beat that deer you guys are in trouble. will get the picture to gary to put here. all i can say is i am very happy to have taken any deer the way the last 2 years have gone for me. i debated about 10 seconds whether i should take him or not. then it was heck i am getting sick of bumming meat from grizzly. i let that arrow fly and that deer died. he may not be bc material but he is a trophy to me.

Nice job big guy you have earned it. I for one know how hard you go for it. Debate what was there to debate? Meat is meat and a man has to eat!! As far as bumming meat from Grizzly well I just want to know who he bums his meat from? No deer in PA. remember :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :wink:

Congrats Mike!!!! ANY deer with a bow is a trophy. Can't eat the horns ya know!! Besides, you're one up on me so far!!! Now I'm having second thoughts on passing that 6pt the 1st day, and then the 2nd Saturday- I went from seeing 4-10 deer per outing to not seeing ANYTHING since Saturday morning-once they started getting shot at w/mz's, they went completly nocturnal here on me. They're still coming in to my stand- but at 3-4AM!!!!! Got 'em on trail cam to prove they did'nt leave the area. :?

In my view any archery buck is a tropy- great job. Now you can get back to fishing.

Allow me to chime in with huge CONGRATS MIGHTY MIKE!on your successful thumping of a buck with your bow!

I agree that any buck is a TROPHY BUCK when taken during Archery!

Good thing you got some venison for the table as this year I had planned on charging you $100 a pound !!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Maybe next year? :twisted:

Congrats Big Mike!!! Any deer with a bow is a great feat.Some people think that its not a big deal anymore with the modern equitment we use.BULL!!!! Try getting within 15-30 yards of a wild whitetail and make killing shot!!! Good Job!! Proud of ya! I shot a monster doe on Friday.Got to get the edge off so i can do some canine trapping without worrying about those deer!!! Ha!
