I have a one pin system for my bow. I have only one distance set on that pin and it is 20 yards. I have never fired a shot with my bow that was over 20 yards. What about you? How many pin settings do you have? Do you have multiple pins or a 1 pin system with an adjustable distance scale?

One set dead on at 25, and just adjust accordingly.

One pin @ 20 yds. Don't like to shoot more than 20, and it's good all the way in to pointblank. Less confusing and been successful for years. IF I need to shoot further, just a slight adjustment in hold is enough-practice this on 3d target all the time, just don't like to resort to it on the real deal if I can help it.

I usually use a one pin setup.Have marks out to 40 yds, set it at 20 for deer, seldom move it. Have shot a couple at 40 yds and a couple at 30yds. When I go for other big game I will sight in out to at least 60 yds, as most other game do not jump the string or react as quickly as do whitetails. This year I am only sighted in with broadheads out to 30 yds.

Twenty and thirty is what im at. At thirty it better be a perfect set up for me to pull.

Three pins:
0-25, 26-35, and 36-45

I'm shooting 292 fps, so it's pretty flat shooting. It has taken a lot of practice to get to where I am comfortable making a clean ethical shot out to 45.

The only pin I use is the one to keep my license on my back. I just look at what I want to hit and release. I don't like having all those glowey things in my way!

I use 1 pin system now for a few yrs- use to use 4 until I used the wrong one on a big buck a few yrs ago(clean miss high). Also hunting NY state land and setup in tight cover a 25yd shot is the most I'am going to get. Not finding or taking the the time to do the pratice for longer shots, I try to setup for closer shot, staying within my proficiency range.
