Shot this guy at 7 yards on Nov. 1. This was the 3rd deer I saw that afternoon. The first 2 was a 3 point chasing a doe.

Found some white oaks dropping acorns by the bushel on a nice bench that narrowed down to a skidder road. Perfect little funnel with rut sign everywhere. Hunted the stand 3 times and saw deer each sitting. On the afternoon of Nov. 1 a buddy and I ran in after work for a short afternoon set. After all, moonbeams were in our favor. I set up a couple scent wicks and climbed in my stand at 4pm. About 4:30 a doe comes running by she looked exausted, so I got ready hoping a buck would follow. Sure enough a 3 pt came trotting though not a moment later grunting with each step it was awesome. Shortly after 5 I let out a series of bleats followed by some soft grunts and The deer came in on a rope to my scent wick and turned straight at me I waited til he was broadside at 7 yards and hammered him.
