W ell its been a pretty rogh theese last few days . I have not been seeing any deer .Well I only seen one today .He came from behind me up out of some hemlocks . and presented me a 20 yd shot . I had some deer lure out .Dont know if that helped or not . I made a terrible shot hitting him backquite far . .But the slick trick broadhead did the job . He fell within sight . Oh what a morning .

Congrats Treerat! Very nice buck. Not a great hit, but it got the job done. I hit a 7 pt a few years ago the same way, he took a step just as I was releasing, the broadhead hit and angled thru and severed his femoral artery. He only went about 30 yds and piled up, so don't ever under estimate those "too far back" hits.

Impressive, tree...shots that far back usually score kill?

Lurky1 no shots back that far usually results in a long difficult tracking job . Try to keep shots in the chest cavity when archery hunting . This was just a case of the hunting Gods smiling down on me this day .
