Got out on Kinzua saturday and sunday, caught a couple eyes each day. It was pretty slow both days . Not many boats out on saturday but saw 10 boats on sunday . Did anyone here in GRIZZLYLAND get out over the weekend? I'm loving the mild winter, I'd love to put the boat in every saturday untill the end of walleye season!

We were out as you know. have the batteries chargeing now after last weekends ignorance of forgeting and having the day cut short cause they were draining fast cause of the wind. Huh Sunday was suppose to be a day for the wife and you, must be there was some sucking up done for you get both days on the water. didn't see you but then again I was hiding out in a different part of the lake on Sunday.
Same luck as you both days. Slow but still catching enough to be happy enough to go every chance possible. I agree, no ice on the zoo is a happier Hoff on my end.

You're being modest, some of the fish you guys are bringing to the launch and showing us are lunkers for the zoo. Oh, and have you gotten over the big lunker lost just short of the boat from last saturday, that sucks for you and I feel for you, but then there's the other side of it. better you than me, I'd still be throwing things.

I wondered if anyone was going to post some reports.

I only fished Sunday afternoon last weekend. We were having a slow afternoon with only a missed fish or two when my friend hooked into a fighter, we thought it was something nice, but it turned out to be a carp foul hooked in the tail  The last spot we stopped at dusk we found and caught some walleyes. They were biting well, and we caught several, but they were all dinks from 14 inches on down. I was surprised how much the water was back up and there was quite a mud line going across the lake.

Id rather be on the ice in the winter, but the lack of ice has got me enjoying more small game hunting this year than usual. I might try the fishing again this Sunday. I picked up my 2007 Seneca Nation fishing license this week, so I might try up that way this time. Good luck this weekend guys!

MR. ED, it's the same price for the liscenes for the RES. At least it is at Gibson Notary in North Warren, PA

Swanny,
"We're all AMISH" (definately Calvin)
MAYBE ON YOUR BOAT
I'm not sure I rate up there with the AMISH folk lately. I'm having a dry spell in my fishing ability lately. Or maybe I lost my lucky charm somewhere. I ain't had a slam bang day since just before that Vodka drinking Grizzly Gary was on my boat.
I think he did something to the boat, tainted it or something and he's hoping it last throught his coming tourny season.

You better get that Calvin under control and make him throw out that plastic cellophane from his ciggerette packs. He's suppose to smoke the ciggerettes not the pack itself.

Last friday fished for 3 1/2 hours and hammered them!!!!!! Had a ball. Caught 16 eyes, a HUGE SMALLY, and 2 short eyes.
No monsters, a couple were in the 15 1/4" - 16" range, and all the rest were 17 1/2 - 20" being the biggest. Most of the fish were males also.Lost probably another dozen as well.

To muddy on Sat, so we fished the deeper Pa water in that lovely weather. Only landed 1keeper, 1short, 1 pike, but lost several decent fish 1/4 way to the boat.
Had to figure out what kind of bait they wanted, now we have to figure out how to keep them hooked. Now I need more Erie emeralds after last weekend.

tried my luck of the bank this weekend.

Saturday evening tried several spots till I found them.

Sunday evening fished for about 1 1/2 from the bank, caught 2 and lost 2 in about 5 minutes.

Swanny,
I appologize for poking fun at our AMISH friend. You're right, I had no right to do so.

I'll Remember, If it's a fork full it is a keeper.

I might as well try and keep up on these posts..

I last fished Kinzua on Sunday 14th. We fished the upper end and got two keepers about 17" and should of had a couple more from the ones we missed. We did not see anyone else out fishing all afternoon.

-MR ED - Seneca permit is still $35

-Willow Cricker -how do you bank fish when you "tried several spots till I found them"? I usually bait and wait when on shore. I'm at the fire you see over on the Webbs side some evenings 8)

-Swanny - how did it go on Saturday 13th? ( you said you measured the water temp. at 41F from the boat in the ice in 2 weeks topic)

I'm not sure what to try this weekend, anyone see any ice that looks fishable yet? Dunkles corner?

Otter , we ended up with just 2 eyes on the 13th. The water was extremely muddy out of roper that day, only had a couple other bites that were missed. Not sure what to do this week end, have to watch the weather we're suppose to get a bunch of snow.
