Thread: So, when will the ammo shortage end?

Default So, when will the ammo shortage end?

    Just as the title states.......

I unfortunately got caught with my pants down. I'm am OUT of .223 ammo, .40 ammo, and 9mm ammo, and I cannot find ANY. I'm somewhat concerned due to the fact that I have 2 firearms trainings coming up in May and at the very minimum I need 600 rds of 9mm for the training. I also like to shoot my patrol AR at least once a month and I'm plumb out. Been using the .22 instead, but let's face it, it's not the same. Heck, our dept ammo order from last October has yet to arrive.

Anyone see light on the horizon?

    Anyone have ammo for sale?

I went yesterday.Got some 9mm but couldnt find any .223 or .308 ammo anywhere.Loaded up on .22mag and .22shorts.That light at the end of the tunnel is WAY off as long as Obama is in office.

Most of the ammo was already buried. You should come here more often. I have been warning of the ammo situation for 2 months. I messed up and did not order when some things were still in stock. I thought I was going to find a better deal than paying the extra $20 per case being charged at the time. WOW! I must be the dumbest **** in the world!! Next day, closest price was 20% higher. I was indignant. I was going to wait until it came down. Next day, there was literally zero ammo for sale in any popular calibers typical of side arms or defensive rifles.

You can still get ammo if you want to go to Gun Broker and pay 400% higher than you would have paid in November. Bricks of 22LR are going for $50 or more. A couple of hundred rounds of 223 can be had for about $600. You will be lucky to find 600 rounds of 9mm at any price within the next month. My suppliers are quoting October 2013 lead times.

Oh and hey. I have 20 rounds of Winchester Super X 45 Colt for sale if anyone wants to buy it. I had a communication error with someone that was supposed to be picking up some 45 Auto. Takers?

I have ammo for the .223 and .308 but would just like to get a surplus built up like I do with everything else.

Search the net, it's limited, it's expensive....but it's there if you dig.

Sporatic at best....I might link you to something and in ten minutes it's gone.

If you gotta have it, have your card ready and hit "complete order" asap.

Thanks for the heads up. Waiting on the postman to fire up. Hoping I get mine by the weekend. Vigilance is the key now for me. I can hit like 5 wally worlds in a day. Every day is different with what they have left. I have a feeling Zen has a live trail cam behind every store. Sneaky bastage.

I can tell you my credit card is probably tracked by NSA. Like Shooter says, if you see it, you buy it. And you have to beat Shooter and myself to the draw and we ain't ****ing around.
