Chapmans Dam

Hey just wanted to let you all know myself and husbend and a friend were on the ice at chapman fishing sunday. It is around 2 to 2 1/2 some spots are 3. We had a blast we cought about 20 or so fish nice size to them 15 to 19 inches. We started at 1100 and left around 330.

I almost came over to see you. Wife wouldn't let me walk on the ice and I am not really that upset about that. How thick was it? You were on an ice pennisula. It looked like you just needed one more guy my weight to send it all crumbling.

Fished sunday and monday. Caught 13 between the 2 days. Fished sunday night and monday morning for a few hrs and had a great time. Ice is 2 inches thick, Im seeing only 2 inches of good ice. If some are seeing 3 inches up there i have no idea where there fishing. It's only 2 inches! Be carefull out there. Stay close to shore so you know you will be safe. If you just take off and start walking you will go through. lots of bad spots.

I just wanted to say to the idiot sitting on his bucket at Chapmans yesterday, Thanks for the help when Chuck H. fell in and yes, he's ok. Thanks for the concern. The least you could have done is ask if he was ok. All sportsmen should stick together, and when he fell in and you continued to sit on your bucket while we tried to get him out of the water, was wrong! Your an idiot! Thanks again!

To follow up Bigfish's comments, yes all sportsmen (or women) need to stick together. To stand up from your bucket, look over to see what's going on, then go back to fishing without a comment while I got out and walked back to the car was stupid, how would you feel if something had happened to us and you just sat there.
