    Default Open carry/police encounter

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

Funny when police think a black powder pistol needs to be registered.

I haven't watched the video yet because I'm at work but it's amazing how few people know the laws regarding open carrying in Pennsylvania. You can read some of their stories with LEOs as well as ordinary citizens on the PAFOA Open Carry forum.

By the way, for those who are genuinely interested in the laws (both concealed carry and open carry) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, there's a great flyer you can read and/or print out HERE. You may be surprised at what you don't know (or what you thought you knew that wasn't accurate).

Funny that you think you know what you are talking about....In Ny State, if the owner never intends to fire the pistol , then he does not have to register it. If it is loaded or the owner has in his possession the components to load the pistol then it MUST be registered on the owner'spistol permit. I know you think you know everything, so here is a link to the NY State Police website that spells it all out for you....

for those that are wondering, every state probably has it's own laws on the subject, so checks your states requirements first. I know NY states law on it and my post is reflected as such....not a blanket statement that could possibly steer one the wrong direction....just another blanket attack on law enforcement by...oh never mind.

Who cares about NY state? It's not even part of the Union as far as I'm concerned...they don't recognize the Constitution, we shouldn't recognize them as a state. The officer in the video is stupid for thinking that the black powder pistol needs to be registered. They are in the U.S, not New York,.

Well Clair....who cares about your opinion of some stupid you tube video....kinda one sided isn't it. Also kind of irresponsible to those on the web that may read this and actually believe you when you say that a black powder pistol doesn't have to be registered. It's 2010, your internet ramblings extend further than your little hamlet of Bradford PA.

I take severe offense to your comment that we should not recognize New York STATE as a state, yet we should recognize the COMMONWEALTH of Pennsylvania as a state...

Get off it dude...they are all states...NY does not go back on the constitution...yes, they are ridiculous with some of the laws and policies...and I don't want to live in NY forever, but don't go around saying that she shouldn't be recognized as a state...

    That is obsurd

Take severe offense? Are you going to lose sleep over it? A mostly facetious statement about NY's ridiculous gun control laws severely offends you? That's hilarious.

Den: Stop being a drama queen. The state in question is Tennessee, and anyone with half a brain could put that together by just looking at the video description. No one in that video cares about what NY does for pistols. It's hilarious that a cop in Tennessee thinks that a black powder pistol in Tennessee needs to be registered. Using your logic, should I be reprimanded for saying that semi-auto rifles are legal, even though they're illegal in England?
